WISE — A new research center in far Southwest Virginia is hoping to become the “graphene hub” of the country.
Graphene is a version of carbon that is the strongest material known to exist. Dubbed a “wonder material,” it’s been hyped as a substance that could transform the electronics industry and be put to creative uses. “The world has been waiting for graphene to be affordable,” said Steve Hooper, CEO.
